We can fix:

Error messages? We know what they mean! We’ll fix what’s causing them.

Won’t start? If there’s beeps when you try to turn on your computer, that means something. It could be a simple fix. Don’t take your computer to an expensive repair shop over a loose wire.

Strange noises? Well, something is probably going bad. It’s either a Hard Drive or a fan. Both are easy and inexpensive to replace. No big deal.

Computer is slow? Computers slow down over time. It’s just a fact of life. It could be from a virus, sure. It’s more likely from a lot of junk installed. It could just a little clean-up. Or it could need a new Hard Drive. Whatever the case may be, there’s a way to breathe new life into it.

Can’t print? That could also be simple. Maybe it’s a disconnected wire. Maybe it’s just a wrong setting. Maybe you just need a new one. Printers don’t cost much anymore. We can recommend a good one! See our section on purchase consultation.

Slow Internet? Believe it or not, it’s probably NOT your connection. Well, sure, if you have a bunch of devices in your home, or kids streaming YouTube or games that’s not going to help. But most of the time when your Internet is slow, it’s because the computer’s slow. It might be time for an upgrade.

What we can do:

The best thing to do is to just start over. By that, we mean to completely wipe the computer clean and reinstall Windows. Most of the time we can use your existing copy, but if we need to buy you a new version, it’s not that expensive. The average cost of Windows 10 Home is $100 to $150.

If you need a new part, we’ll tell you exactly what you need to buy and how much you should expect to pay. Hard drives usually cost between $50 and $150.00 depending on capacity.

Our labor cost: We’ll come take a look and give you a general idea of what’s wrong for FREE! Or you can bring it to us. If we work on it we’ll typically charge $40 per hour but if it’s something really simple, we’ll give you a great discount. You’ll just have to purchase any parts ahead of time. We’re not able to front the cost of replacement / upgraded parts.

Computer Upgrades

You might not actually need a new computer just yet.

Let’s clean it up! Your computer might be running slow because it needs cleaned up. Check out our section on Computer Repair for more information on what we can do to fix problems.

Memory (RAM) Upgrades – RAM is your computer’s “thinking space”. The more programs you run at a time fills up this space. Newer programs expect your computer to have more space. Memory upgrades are rather inexpensive.

Out of Hard Drive storage? When your computer runs out of disk space, it has no more room to save files, pictures or whatever. Sure, you can delete stuff to make more room. But a lot of times, folks end up deleting something important. Plus, you don’t want to lose old memories for new ones. Keep it all! You could add an external hard drive, or replace the one inside your computer for a larger one. We can do this and copy all of your old data on to the new drive!

Graphics Card Upgrades – A huge bottleneck of performance in your computer is the graphics/video card. Depending on how you use your computer, you might not need a high-end card. (This option is only for desktop computers.) We can upgrade this major component to make a world of difference when it comes to gaming and graphics.

External Device Upgrades – Sometimes, believe it or not, poor performance can be caused by a faulty keyboard, mouse or monitor. Upgrading to a bigger screen or a new mouse can greatly improve your PC experience.

Upgrade Windows – As we mentioned before, most of the time we can greatly improve the performance of your computer by reinstalling Windows. Newer versions of Windows do use up more space and memory, and isn’t always recommended. But, newer versions are also written to operate more efficiently. A new copy of Windows 10 costs anywhere between $100 and $150.

No matter what we do, we’ll be sure to save all your data if you want us to. You won’t lose anything.

The Cost? You’ll only pay for the cost of parts plus $40/hr. unless it’s really simple, then we’ll cut you a deal.
